WM-basic
is an easy-to-use interface
to a program package which models the atmospheres of Hot Stars (and also SN and GN) for
Windows XP/2000/NT/9x. The Release comprises all
programs required to calculate model atmospheres
which especially yield ionizing
fluxes and synthetic spectra. You should concentrate on spectroscopic analyses, the last thing you need is to waste time having to learn yet another complicated computer application. Your experience with other tools should be relevant to each new application, making it possible to sit down and use that new application immediately. This is the reason why WM-basic is distributed as a Windows application, as this is the only platform which makes that possible. Since WM-basic is distributed as freeware you can download your copy now, and find out whether this is a good concept. Apart from that you should register your personal copy of WM-basic -just send an E-mail- in order to give AWAP the chance to survey the situation. In case you decide to publish results calculated with this software it would be nice to acknowledge the use of this program package. top |
