Seminar room and lecture hall reservations are handed out on a first-come–first-serve basis. If you are offering a course for students and you don’t yet know how many students will be attending and at what times their schedule allows them to participate, then you should grab as many time slots as you can as early as possible because otherwise all the suitable slots will be given away to group seminars. If you wait until the beginning of the semester you will have access only to the leftovers.
