About Me

Silvio

Hi! My name is Silvio Fortuné and I am working on my PhD degree at the University Observatory Munich (USM).
Together with my Supervisors Prof. Dr. Andreas Burkert and Dr. Rhea-Silvia Remus, I investigate galaxy formation histories and and their connections to the cosmic web in cosmological hydrodynamical simulations.
I am doing my studies as part of the DRAGONS team, which connects research from scales of planetary nebulae to superclusters. Moreover, I greatly profit from the funding, network and scientific exchange opportunities provided by the Excellence Cluster ORIGINS and the IMPRS PhD program.
Outside of science, you might find me in practicing Kendo at Kendo München e.V. or hiking in the Alpine regions near Munich :)
