Social Events
Welcome reception
We will have a welcome reception for all participants of the conference on Monday evening after the scientific program. It will take place in front of the lecture room. Local specialities will be served by the Landshuter Bäuerinnen in combination with local drinks ;-)Guided Tour
We organize a guided tour through Munich City center on Wednesday,
October 23, 2013, which will bring you to the main sights. There
will be a stop for a guided tour through
Nymphenburg Castle and
a Coffee stop in the
Schlosswirtschaft Schwaige. The participants (you need to be
registered for the tour)
will be picked up at 2pm by buses in front of the IPP security gate (main entrance
next to the subway station), see also the adjacent map.
Conference Dinner
The conference dinner will take place on Wednesday, October 23, 2013
at around 6pm in the Schwemme of the
Paulaner Bräuhaus, where a
Bavarian Dinner will be served (registered participants only).
In case you will also take part in the tour, the buses will drop you
there. Directions (for those who do not take part in the tour and for
everybody's way back to their hotels) are given on the adjacent map.
You can take either subway no. U6 (also connecting to MPE / Garching
Forschungszentrum) or no. U3 to the station Goetheplatz, then
either take a walk to the restaurant (takes ~6min) or bus no. 58
in direction of Silberhornstraße and leave at the next
stop, which is Kapuzinerplatz/Arbeitsagentur (takes
~1min). The Munich Transport Association MVG offers a quite handy tool for planning your journey by public transport:
