The 40cm telescope with its German equatorial mount in the 3m dome of Wendelstein Observatory.


Usage:

The new 40cm telescope is used primarily for educational purposes, but is also planned to be used for science. Alternatively, it can 'help' the larger telescope during observations (e.g. for photometric tests).

The 40cm telescope with ist additional devices (camera power supply, focus control, network switch, I/O controller for forwarding guider signals). These are mounted on two holders on the left and right of the tube.
