Welcome to my homepage!

I am a postdoc at the University Observatory of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich working in the group of Til Birnstiel. I have obtained my Doctor degree from the Heidelberg University, where I was working in the group of Kees Dullemond. Afterwards, I was a postdoc in the Institute for Computational Science at the University of Zurich working within the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research PlanetS.

My work focuses on the planet formation issue. We know that planets are a common phenomenon - the Milky Way contains at least one planet for every star on average. However, we still cannot satisfactorily explain how do they form! I am using numerical models to explore scenarios that allow formation of planetesimals and planets out of the micron-sized dust grains present in disks surrounding young stars.
